Although the club is active year-round, the best times to find lots of us around at the same time are:

Weekends: First in January to last in March

Work Weekends in April and October

Overview

There are lots of benefits to becoming a member of our ski club. For instance:

  • A ready-made community with the common interests of having fun outdoors, meeting new people and hanging out with friends
  • A comfortable, affordable, safe place to stay, entertain friends, and a warm, dry place to store your gear
  • A resource to get recommendations on great places to go, to do your favorite sport, buy gear, eat out, see live music, etc.
  • A membership to the Eastern Inter-Club Ski League(EICSL)which gives you:
  • Access to discount lift tickets
  • Special year-round social events
  • Discounts at local retail and service businesses

Membership Requirements & Cost

  • 21 years of age or over
  • One-Time Initiation Fee
  • Membership Dues: $625.00 per year, due by July 1 of each calendar year
  • To become a member you must stay at the lodge for at least four nights. You must also fill out an application form which needs to be signed by three members who have met and talked with you.

By spending a couple of weekends with us, you get to see a representative sample of the membership and we get to see a representative sample of you. If it seems like we share enough in common to be comfortable, well then, the rest is formality. The Membership folks can give you all the details.

Please feel free to call or email anytime and come spend a night with us as a guest for Thirty dollars ($30) a night!

Why Join the Schussers?

We happen to think our club is special for a few reasons (aside from the great people, of course). We like to get out to the inter-club socials and local pubs to dance as well as meet new people to do stuff with. But if you’d rather hang out at the lodge by the fire, curl up with a good book; please do!

Our lodge is designed so that the common room is well separated from the sleeping quarters. So if you want to stay up late and socialize, you can do that. But if you’re the type who gets up at the crack of dawn to hit the slopes or the trail by seven or eight AM, you can count on a good night’s sleep.

We have a broad age range and good mix of couples and singles. And we’re lucky enough to have members with all the skills it takes to keep the club running smoothly so we’re free to focus on having fun.

Our sleeping quarters are on separate floors for men and women, which simplifies everything, right?
